VMware by Broadcom promises increased training at cheaper prices

Multiple VMware products are affected – with some of the vulnerabilities scoring a staggering severity rating of 9.3 out of 10.
Broadcom announced last year their intention to offload parts of the VMware portfolio following its acquisition of the virtualisation giant.
Since their takeover last year, Broadcom has cut VMware products, perpetual licenses, and its partner program at a rapid rate.
It brings the number of products to be scrapped since Broadcom’s takeover of VMware to 59 – with only half getting some kind of replacement.
Dell have enacted a change of ownership clause allowing either party to withdraw from the deal following VMware’s takeover by Broadcom.
It includes an update to VMware’s End of Availability (EOA) plan – with three extra products now added to it, including vSphere Enterprise.
Another 50-plus products have also been binned in a move to big bundles as Broadcom’s post-VMware takeover rumbles on.
