Microsoft has redesigned the Security and Compliance Product Terms experience to simplify how customers find and navigate Security licensing product terms across the Microsoft Security portfolio. The redesign creates a more consistent, customer-friendly approach to accessing Security licensing terms and use rights.
1. A new Security and Compliance landing page has been introduced as the central entry point for security and compliance related Product Terms
2. Service Specific Product Terms for Microsoft Defender Experts, Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security, and Microsoft Intune have been moved under the Microsoft Security landing page
3. Security-related terms that were previously distributed across multiple Product Terms locations have been reorganised into dedicated product-family pages for:
– Microsoft Defender
– Microsoft Entra
– Microsoft Purview
4. Licensing prerequisites, availability tables, and service-specific terms are being consolidated onto the applicable product-family pages
5. Existing Product Terms pages will include cross-references and links to the new locations
6. Product Terms applicability remains unchanged. No licensing rights, use rights, product entitlements, or contractual obligations are being added, removed, or modified. Existing clause text is being relocated solely to improve discoverability and navigation; meaning, scope, and application remain the same
7. Certain consumption-based services, such as Microsoft Entra External Identities and Defender for Cloud, will continue to reference Azure Terms where applicable
